The universal to do list for a girl in her early 20s, by Marnie in Andrew Bujalski’s Funny Ha Ha. I have never seen a film with dialogue that more closely resembles how me and my friends actually sound. When I first watched Funny Ha Ha streamed, the service we were using had accidentally uploaded the file with the ironic DVD commentary from a Russian scholar half-audibly running in the background, and it took us a while to work out whether it was meant to be there or not. The second time around I really really loved it. I am happy for this film to be a voice of my inarticulate generation, or at least of those who have the luxury to spend a while after college wondering what to do next while drinking too much and working temp jobs.
